a better mp3 player?

Is it feasible that the customised firmware might provide a better mp3 player than the standard Humax one? Specifically, a player that would permit moving through the file, resuming at last position, and would not always automatically play every file in a folder.

No. The file could be "played", but there's nowhere to send the audio - no access to the hardware output ports.
