auto-mpg feature

I recently noticed (again) this feature, so set it on a folder containing radio programmes.
When it failed on the only recording (so far) , I hunted for an explanation in the wiki - without success.
Hitherto I've used audio (mp3) extraction on an individual basis.
Can anyone offer enlightenment?

I think you need to use the auto-audio flag. Auto-mpg appears designed to convert SD video .ts files to mpeg video, which would explain why your radio files failed to convert.

Not just appears... is. The video stream is repackaged into a .mpg container (no re-encoding).

Thanks for that - I didn't get that from my reading.
The auto-audio, if I can trust my memory, seems not to give the proper level of extraction which I want for compatability.

I missed that setting - probably deteriorating eyesight and poor (for me) contrast.
