Hi all. My problem is that the time-shift partition of my HDR1000S is no longer functioning so I can no longer pause or rewind live TV. I understand this is not an uncommon problem and that - correct me if I'm wrong! - the fix is to do a factory reset which will re-format the entire drive... But what about those programmes on the drive we have not watched yet or have kept to watch again? I don't want to lose those.
Is there any way to back up and restore the recordings? I'm not bothered about playing them on another device.
I've tried taking the drive out and hooking it up to my PC but although I could see the partitions in Disk Admin I couldn't seem to access the actual files?
