Cannot Select/De-Select Sub-Title's

Please could you tell us what happens when you press the "SUB" button on the remote?

Pressing SUB should cause a message to appear at the top of the screen, at least for live programmes and recordings. Does one appear? If you get "Subtitle:Off" message, press SUB again (before the off message disappears) and you might get "Subtitle:English". That's it, selected. To turn off press SUB twice (or more) until the off message appears.
If no message appears - is the remote working properly? Has the Humax gone into an odd state? Try powering down, wait for the disk to stop and then unplug for a short while. Restart and try again.
