Can't access Humax via WiFi with Linux Mint- Solved

Not sure where to post this, or if it's been covered before, but thought I'd mention this in case others have a similar issue. I doubt it's a Custom FW issue, but as I have that installed, thought I'd post here.

It's been a while since I used the Web-IF and wanted to hide some channels after a recent EPG update. As often happens, I had to re-tune the Humax via the Wizard and then add the WiFi settings. After doing so, I could not connect to the Humax via HTTP, or get a response via Ping and got a 'destination unreachable / no reply' message when trying to connect via my Laptop with Linux Mint XFCE.

I discovered that my Android phone had no problems connecting via a web browser, and as soon as I did that, the Laptop could also connect. I'm guessing it's an ARP or similar issue somewhere, not seen it with any other devices on my network.

My thoughts are this is just a coincidence. Timeout responding to HTTP requests is not that unusual, although I'm surprised ping didn't work. That implies something not working between the "laptop" and the HDR-FOX.

Whatever it was sorted itself out (perhaps poked by the previous access attempts) and then when you tried using your phone it had no problem.
