Can't transfer files from my freesat box to my freeview box

Hi
I can't transfer files from my freesat box to my freeview box

I use a 4 gig memory stick formatted to Fat 32. I can use this stick to copy jpeg and mp4 stuff from my smart phone through my laptop to my memory stick and then play the files on my freeview box

What am I doing wrong or is this procedure not possible with these two very similar boxes

Delete or rename the two files on the stick with the same name as the recording with .hmt and .nts file extensions.

It took me a while to work this one out

I did have to add .ts to the folder name before the freeview box could see and play the progamme
