Controlling Aura

Hi all, my 6+ year old FVP-4000T is getting a bit flakey so I am considering buying an Aura. One immediate question I have - can you control (ie switch channels, play recordings) the box using the app, or is that just for scheduling recordings etc? The great thing about my current Humax is that I can control it from another room with the Humax TV Remote app.

The Aura App cannot be used as a remote control.

Not sure if the Humax TV Remote App can control the Aura as it’s not something that I would ever use.
