Dedupe/tidy folder - File names ?

Tried to use this feature on a folder but the proposed (new ?) filenames are showing what seems to be some of the program description and original files are renamed to those names too

So it looks like I was maybe just unlucky with the filenaming/description provided by the channel (?) on previous posts example ?

It made a much better job of it here ...
Although I had updated to Cust F/w 3.14 in between ?

It can only go off

1. what information the TVDB database has for the program (and bear in mind that's likely to be more relevant for, say, a drama series than for the examples you have given)
2. what information the channel has put in its EPG data - because that is what is used to find a match against the TVDB data.

The actual matching algorithm is, I think, discussed in an old thread somewhere. But if the two things above don't match very well the results will be spotty.

Your TVDB integration settings (on the CF settings screen) will affect the final look, but not the matching.

Thanks Yes, I realise now its very dependant on the quality of the info in the program data
Also I initially took the 'tidy' bit to be tidying by removing the duplicates, missing the fact that it would try to tidy up the file naming too
