Deleting Programmes

1) When I delete a series it reboots the box. Annoying enough but it often doesn't clear the whole series.
2) When I do it episode by episode the box hangs after 5 or 6 deletes for about 10 minutes.

Is this common?

I have seen the box reboot when deleting a series with lots of episodes. Never had an issue with single recordings though. I would make a note/photograph your recording schedule and then do a reset to factory defaults.

Thanks Graham. I've had the box almost a year and haven't had to to delete much. the kids 500 episodes of The Simpsons needs to go. Its taking a while.
