This is just curiosity:
fixdisk can throw up "multiply claimed block" errors. But there is facility in the file system to create "hard links", whereby a file can appear to be in multiple places in the file system but without actually duplicating the file. Is that not a deliberate multiply claimed block? Would fixdisk distinguish?
