Desperately seeking...

I'm a recent convert to Kodi on my Android TV.
Kodi has some very clever online db scrapers to scan your media files and then download & fetch corresponding metadata information, such as plot, posters, cast/credits, release dates, ratings, artists, artworks. Useful and pretty !
Back in 2016 @mwpmorris on the Kodi Forum created a clever script to present the Foxsat-HDR recorded programs in a more Kodi friendly format with .nfo files, and used symbolic links so as not to affect the original program names or location.
I have updated the script as follows:
It works really well for me with Kodi Matrix 19.3 on Android TV, so if anyone is feeling brave and interested in testing it, post a reply here and I'll send you the script.
I have attached the explanations/instructions from the comments at the top of the script, but not the script itself, not until a few more have tested it.
Jon.

I have updated the script as follows:
- Default is now not to create the .nfo (as most often it's not needed)
- For Movies/Oneoffs I have added a search for a "valid" year and if found to append it to the symbolic link name.
- Changed the naming for Series episodes to append SnnEnn
- lots of logging
