Foxsat HDR Subtitles

I have managed to transfer mp4 files to the HDR (using Radon's excellent AV2HDR application),
which play perfectly. However, if I try to include subtitles either in .srt or .sup format, the
transfer fails. Can anyone suggest a solution to this problem ?
