Got email of failed recording anyway to find out why ?

As above I have a series recording set up for bbc1 holby city and last night it only recorded half of the program and I then got an email to say it had failed, so is there anywhere to find out why ?

(On the SUI) you go into the Media menu and find the recording - the thumbnail will be a lightning bolt graphic. If you then try to play it, a message pops up telling you why the lightning bolt, and asking if you want to try playing the recording anyway.

My guess is you've run out of disk space.
 
Hi thanks for the reply I have around 1.2 Gb of space free and the temperature maxed out @ 51*c while recording and checked the recording time and it was scheduled okay but appears to have started half way in. Unfortunately I deleted the other half of the scheduled recording when it failed. Just to add something this program has failed a couple of times in the last month and I deleted the timer and started a new one last week
