I wonder if they still claim iPlayer support on these boxes. If I understood correctly, earlier posts seem to be saying that iplayer 4 does not work on the HD.

In 'BootHDR' mode, iPlayer version 4 runs as well on the HD-FOX as it does on the on the HDR-FOX. Unfortunately, both suffer from very laggy navigation.

All is not lost.
Humax, resources permitting, intend to update iplayer and the browser so it supports the later version of portal, however this is not going to happen overnight.
More when I have it.
