Just wanted to say thx for all the info - the upgrade went well and has given my old hdr forx t2 a new lease of life. 4TB. The wife couldn't possibly fill that up now could she...............! thanks everyone.

You're welcome. I've been running my main box with a 4TB drive in it for almost a year now with no problems. I have found that I set more to record in HD now, even if it's something that we may want to keep long term, and my dustbin doesn't delete anything until it's 30 days old.
