HDR 1100S - alternative remote control

I have TV and this Humax box in a really crowded room and line of sight to IR lens is often blocked. Can I get some WiFi or Bluetooth dongle that will work with this tuner? And if so, I guess I also need S/W on a mobile phone, or is there an alternative remote that provides full functionality with the dongle? Thanks!
 
I very much doubt the HDR-1000S has any such facility built in, so the only option you have is to try a universal IR extender/repeater or perhaps a smart WiFi IR blaster. Have you tried the simple expedient of bouncing the IR off the ceiling?
