My hdr has been crashing a lot, sometimes a few times a day.
I suspect the automount package as I noticed the crashing after this was installed.
The automount package is being used with the usb stick option.
The networked drive which is on a WHS is connected through a couple of powerline adapters. I have noticed an increase in crashing recently, I suspect this is due to a lesser quality network connection as the router has been moved out into our new extension.
Looking at the log:
>>> Contents of /var/log/scanmounts.log 158.00 bytes
192.168.1.17 is on-line - attempting to mount WHS
mount -t cifs //192.168.1.17/Videos /media/WHS -o user=pads_123,password=Password,domain=JELLY_WOBBLE
I was wondering what is the best way of hunting down the culprit of the crashing issue?
I could remove the automount package, but I do want a networked drive.
Any advice would be appreciated.
The drive passes the smart diagnostics.
Cheers
