My infrequently-used second HDR-FOX recently developed a boot loop. Time to visit hummy.tv! I was able to use Telnet to initiate maintenance mode and run fixdisk. The machine doggedly insisted on reverting to the seemingly endless loop.
Black Hole's post (https://hummy.tv/forum/threads/steps-for-resolving-hdr-fox-crash-reboot-issues.5320/) has been particularly useful and this morning (at the second attempt using a different USB drive) I successfully ran a system flush update. The machine booted up correctly and I am now living in a two working Fox household again.
I just wanted to report the success of the system flush update in this case and to say thank you for bothering to be here. This morning was a good morning!
