Help with dead recorder box

[Newbie here] I volunteer at a repair non-profit. A customer has brought in a FOX T2 with no power. I've checked out the mains input and switch - all OK.
But where to go next?
The power supply board looks OK, except for the capacitors at the mains input end (see photo). Is that brown gunk intentional or not?
Is a circuit diagram available anywhere? (I have searched).
Any help would be much appreciated!

No. What photo?

Follow the usual repair strategies for a SMPS: replace anything that looks burnt, and any electrolytics for good measure.

Considering it's still possible to source working used units on eBay, I doubt this is a worthwhile use of your time. I can probably provide a PSU.

Brown gunk around electrolytic capacitors is definitely not good, it means they have spilt their corrosive insides over the circuit board. This requires some good scrubbing of the PCB after removing the relevant components and possibly also being prepared to replace some other nearby components that have been affected by the corrosive gunk.

I would recommend a replacement power supply for best reliability.
