How to block youtube on hdr1000s

Hi,

How can I specifically disable youtube on the hdr1000s please? I have tried on the router blocking requests to youtube.com and youtube.co.uk but it looks like the humax is proxying through some other IP / URL

You won't need to. YouTube is withdrawing support for non-https access requests from some time in June.

Otherwise, you could try deleting the "app" from the portal (if the 1000s has "apps").

I thought there were two lots of Youtube closing and the non-HTTPS reason was from 11th May 2017 and the flash reason is from 30th June 2017.

Fair enough; all I know is that the YouTube app is still working on HDR-FOX when it probably should have stopped already, so I assumed the June date now applied.
