How to use hummy firmware

I have loaded the firmware onto my humax.
I have not used the interface for a number of years and so I have forgotten how to connect to it.
Can someone suggest a link or let me know in simple terms how I can connect?
Thanks

Just point your web browser at the Foxsat's network address. You can find the network address in the Foxsat menus for networking. If, for example, the IP address is 192.168.1.23, just type that into the address bar in your web browser.

the address bar in your web browser.
It's not an address bar any more. It's a search bar (because stupid people treated it as such, they made it that). It's damned annoying when you want to go to a local DNS name but it tries searching the effing web for it instead, which then compels you to type htttp:// beforehand.

On the rare occasions I try to access the meagre web interfaces on other Humaxes I fall foul of this problem. F! :poop:! damn! blx!

Isn't there a setting to stop the browser performing searches from the address bar? There's almost certainly a setting to choose your default search engine...

In this case, I suspect the OP just saw "192.168.1.23" (which happens to be the IP address of the bedroom HD-FOX on my network!) and typed that in, not noticing that I said "for example..."!

Agreed, damned irritating. We have loads of local DNS names at work.

Yes, but it means doing it on every browser on every PC. Anyway, on FF it seems to be keyword.enabled -> false on about:config.
Ahhh....
