How to watch videos from external hdd?

I have finally decided to order an Aura. It should arrive by the end of the week.

I'm just wondering how I go about finding my connected external hdd to start watching content on it?

I know that I have to download the VLC app. Do I then use the VLC app to find my connected hdd?

It is very easy to do. Plug in the USB storage, fire up VLC and it will put up a message saying it has found a new USB device and ask if it should be scanned for content. If you accept, it will take a while to scan the device and then offer the files that it thinks are playable. Select the one you want and away you go.
