Humax Aura FVP-4KGTR - 2TB Boot Failed error

Hi all,

I’m in need of some help.

I’m having a rather odd problem in that I randomly appear to get an error screen when powering on my box.

The error is on a black screen and shows the following…

boot FAILED!
  1. try powering up again.
  2. verify usb-micro connection to allow fastboot mode enter (if applicable).
  3. force recovery mode: press+hold front panel soft key while powering up.
  4. connect serial console for additional debug information.

Oddly, I went and purchased another Aura and it’s just done the same thing! So I now have 2 boxes doing the same thing which leads me to think there’s another issue at play.

After a google I can’t see anyone else having this problem so I’m now not sure what to do.

My setup up has it running through my AV receiver and on to my LG C8

Any suggestions??
 
Try only have the power and HDMI connected direct to TV before powering up from cold. If that works, attach other cables one at a time, then power up from cold to see if you can find the culprit. It may be the AV receiver.
If direct connection to TV didn't work, try changing the HDMI options (eg version) on the TV.
 
I can’t exactly remove that from the loop permanently though. It’s all contained in a rack up in the loft which is why I’m finding the boot fail so annoying.

I could maybe change the power on order on the harmony remote?
