Humax FVP-4000t - Gets very hot?

Just picked up a VGC one off ebay and it all works fine but it gets very hot over where I guess the tuners are - the aerial in/out side.

Is this normal?

I wouldn't be at all surprised - especially in this weather.

From the post son various sites about the FVP-4000T it does appear to be normal. I had one briefly and that was the hottest PVR I've come across so far.

The FVP-500T is similar to the FVP-4000T and there have been reports that on opening an FVP-5000T when it first came out, it even had the FVP-4000T main board.

Thanks for the replies, atleast nothing wrong then.
I will start another thread about remote recording as it was my intention to replace a BT Youview box with the 4000 but struggling with the remote recording aspects.
