iplayer Subtitles issue

Last night when starting a programme I went to select subtitles clicked the option and corner box stated subtitles on but then the overlayed menu stayed on and box would not respond to any commands, programme continued playing. I was able to click x on remote and that closed the app. I tried 3 times and same each time, powered down the box and tried again but same issue. Anyone else got same problem?

How long did you wait before you decided it was not responding?

I have found my HDR-FOXes sometimes get a bit stuck, and sort themselves out if I wait long enough. Inputting a series of commands during that state may result in a crash/reboot.
 
When the overlay menu was present I did wait for around 20 secs but it didn't disappear on its own. Also did power down / switch off mains waited for 10 secs and tried again but still same issue. Will try again later, will see if it's righted itself!

What overlay menu are you taking about, the iPlayers own pop up menu or the Humax's menu.
Subtitles for the iPlayer are switched on or off via the iPlayer app and its own controls and not any Humax PVR settings or controls.
 
Reset not fixed it. When leaving the programme playing with menu overlay after around 30-45 seconds programme stops and returns to programme selection screen. Something not right!
