Long HDMI cable with Lindy boaster

I have just moved into a property with long HDMI cable hidden in roof to wall mounting tv. The previous owner left a Lindy hdmi-repeater-extender-80m-32568 he used for a skybox. I can not seem to get any signal through only the live tv from the ariel nothing from the humax box.

Can the signal from the humax box used with an extender, it should be shouldnt it!?

HDMI is HDMI, although the Humax sometimes balks at specific implementations (the HDCP negotiation is the stumbling block).
