Please could I have a dummies guide to getting HD programs of the box on to an external drive?

Sorry if this is a really easy or silly question, but how do I get HD recordings of the T2 and on to external drive. The guides I’ve read say copying over USB auto strips the encrypting. Silly question number 1, I can’t see how to do this. Is there a copy to USB app? Or have I missed a menu option somewhere?

As standard you can't remove encryption from HD recordings. Clever people have over the years developed methods to do it and EEPhil has posted a link for you to follow to learn about the options.
