Problem with a downloaded .ts file

I have an SD recording which I have downloaded as a .ts file. I am unable to play it with VLC or WMP.

In WebIf, the option to extract to mpg is greyed out.

Help?

How was it downloaded?

If it was by any means other than copying to a memory stick, then have you decrypted the file before downloading?

It was downloaded using the download option in WebIf.

The decrypt option is greyed out.

In WebIf, the option to extract to mpg is greyed out.

I think you will find that this option is greyed out for encrypted files.

I don't use webif download myself (preferring decrypt and then FTP myself) so I can't advise why that is failing.
I suspect one of the experts will be along soon, though it is a bank holiday today ...

Another question, if the decrypt option is greyed out has the file already been decrypted (green Dec icon next to file in webif list)?

EDIT: Is sharing turned on?
The file will need to have been logged by DNLA, little green circular icon with dots next to it.

After a reboot, decrypt returned and all is well now thanks.
