Don't hold your breath for any updates!!
I'm not. But there were posts on the My Humax forum from someone "in the know" who asked for beta-testers for the update. That would indicate either complete and total bull :poop: or, more likely, it is taking longer to iron out the bugs in the update. Yes, it probably doesn't have the high priority we want it to have - and the Freely box may be part of the cause. However, the official Humax website states: "For Aura products, software updates will be supported until November 1, 2027" - so there is a possibility of an update or two.
 
I read recently that the Humax Aura that most of us will have has officially been discontinued as they ar going to concentrate on the new Freely version. Don't hold your breath for any updates!!
Why would Humax conduct a beta test program if they were not going to release software?
 
Probably not. I can feel the tension here. Its certainly been a very frustrating product. Would I buy the next generation from Humax? Not sure.....

I got these responses from Humax UK on 28th & 30th Jan:

We have an upcoming software update that's currently under testing and will be released soon, by end of this quarter. This will help fix similar issues you've reported in addition to improving other features.

We're yet to get communication on the exact improvements that will be made though I can confirm the Android version will move from version 9 to 14.

At least they are still saying it will be Android 14 rather than the Android 12 used for the EZ.
