Recording History

Is there a log file, or any other means, to see which recordings I have deleted, going back a few months?

The reason for this is that I have a terrible memory for films I have watched.

Yes, it's another of my unimportant, somewhat irrelevant (annoying?), questions.

Any help gratefully received.

Obviously with the CF there are always possibilities. Think of us poor sods with other machines and an equally terrible memory. The number of films I've recorded three or four times thinking I've never seen them before is getting beyond a joke. I'd facetiously suggest using pen and paper and write down the name of the films - but I don't do that. I forget.

Activity.log will show you what has been recorded, but not what has been deleted.

tvdiary is a package that will provide more detailed view of what has been watched (but only going forward, not a historical view)

If you have the undelete package installed, it will log when it finally deletes stuff from the bin.

Thank you for all your replies.

@prpr Presumably said log file is empty_dustbin.log?

It's not immediately obvious to me what to search for to see each deleted item

Thank you, peterworks and MymsMan,
I will give TV Diary a go.
