recording problem

Hi,
How can a record a live tv program that im watching and have re-winded or paused.
I have tried to obviously just press record but it does not work, when i press exit it loses the part of the program that I was at and the its not worth it

Normally provided you were watching the programme and it's still on if you goto real time and press record you should get the whole programme. If it's finished rewind buffer to programme beginning and press record.
