Well after doing a factory reset , unplugged,change the hdd and everything else that I read it still says the same RDFTSB Which translated means your box is ?
Spoke to humax and they said it was probably the hdd or the sata lead or resistor
There Is power to the hdd and is running
Downloaded a update from humax site on to a usb stick and no change
Still the notification RDFTSB
HUMAX said buy another box !!!

I had the same problem. Tried a couple of hard drives NTFS format, the Humax box did a quick format, but didnt fix the problem.
Finally I took a 500GB hard drive out of a unused HD sky box and fitted that. The Humax box registered that the drive was unformatted and I selected format this drive.
It took about 45 mins, but after that everything was working normal, that was about two months ago. Still working fine.
