I think that's known as an "incinerator", and has the advantage of getting more heat out than you put in.
 
Back OT, sort of, I have been looking at leaving EDF. I went to several comparison sites such as USwitch and Which? and they all came up with Spark Energy as the biggest saving by far. On my bill their quote was £430 below what we pay now.

Does anyone have any experience of Spark Energy?

Also, Which? says in its report that each company has a different smart meter, and if you switch, then you either lose its features or it must be ripped out and replaced. We don't have smart meters at present but Spark say they intend to roll them out this year.
