Seeking and ad-skipping in files copied onto the Humax

Hi,

I recently got my HDR-FOXT2, and have been busy dumping the contents (TS files) of my old 9200T onto disk to copy it to my new one. The files work fine, and being able able to put them in folders is a great improvement.

However, when playing back the copied files I am not able to fast-forward or rewind at all (just get the 'no-entry' symbol come up), and the forward and back skip doesn't work properly either. This works absolutely perfectly for programmes recorded by the new box. (This was especially annoying for a film my son had started watching on the old box, and wanted to continue with on the new one, as there was no way to get to the right place.)

Does anyone else have this problem? Is there anything I can do to fix/patch the copied TS files? Is it fixed in the new software update?

Thanks,

Paul.

I've found that skipping works for some file formats and not others. I converted some .mpg files to .avi and now I can seek and skip happily.
