skipping episodes

I've read a few threads discussing problems with skipping episodes and none of them seem to explain what the final situation is.

I have used the skipping function once and it worked but I think that my webif autoupdated since and I seem to have lost the functionality.

I go to visual on either webif or rs click skip episode, I get the orange successful message but nothing ever happens.

the one time it worked I had the reboot message in webif and after reboot the episode was skipped. not anymore.

would you believe it? even though there was no indication on webif, it did skip the episode.

It only in remote scheduling EPG that the skipped episodes are shown in red, I don't know if af123 plans to bring the two EPG versions into synch.

If you look at the schedule or visual displays on webif or epg you should see the skipped episodes are not shown to be recorded (on webif Schedule they are shown struck out)
