It's sometimes not possible to view a live program from guide view. It often only prompts to record. So you have to close the guide and defect the channel manually. Another bizarre behaviour they can't be bothered to fix

Are you trying to view a live programme before it has started?

Nope. This is when a programme is live. Usually let's you watch it but often only allows you to record. In which case you have to close the guide and switch to the channel manually. That said, the method of selecting a programme and then selecting watch live is so slooooooowwwwwww is actually quicker to close the guide and type in the channel number

I can only guess that the 'not able to watch a live programme from the guide' bug, and the 'not able to set series link from live program' bug are related. Neither of which will be fixed

This happens when you think it has but the programme has not actually started (possibly according to its AR flag). Naturally you are only offered reminder or record. This is not a bug. Select the previous programme in the guide to change channel, or wait a few seconds and retry.
