Streaming movies from a Mac?

Just switched to a Humax after years with Sky. What a liberating experience!

Can someone direct me on how I can stream movies located on my Mac to a Humax HDR-1000S? I don't see my Mac appearing the list of media servers.
 
I've got Plex Media up and running which I believe acts as a DNLA server but can't see it in the media server list.
 
I'm not certain, but I think a Plex server requires its own Plex clients and is not a general DLNA system.
