Task Queuing System Stalled

I have just logged on to HDR4 to copy across some MP3s to use in the car, and found that although recent recordings are queued for decrypt and MP3 conversion, nothing has actually happened for several days. auto.log shows the tasks being queued, and the task queue viewer shows the tasks - but the fist item in the queue (decryption) is displayed as "RUNNING" - from four days ago!

The WebIF front-page machine status shows "Decrypting". The media browser does not show the file is "in use" (but neither does it have the decrypted icon).

I suspect I need a reset to sort this out, but is there anything you want me to look at first?

I had this also and re-enabling content sharing seems to have sorted it on my machine. It is now proceeding through the the decrypt queue.

WebIF thinks content share is enabled, but I'm not going to fiddle until af123 has all the data he needs to see why WebIF is confused about the current status of the unit.

It isn't that webif is confused. The wget process hasn't finished for some reason and it's waiting for that.
A quick strace run on wget might provide some insight..

strace -p 17164

might produce lots of output. Stop with control+C.

I suspect this might just be one of those things though. On a box that shuts down and starts up regularly it would sort itself out.

You can kick it by killing the wget process (pkill wget). That may cause the queueing system to mark it as failed in which case you can re-submit it via the queue screen.
