Unable to use RS portal

I have changed my email address, and did not get an email response. When I visit the RS web page I find this:

"Last seen: 12:00 am on Thursday, 1st January 1970"

None of the options are usable on the page.

The response to the change in settings showed the the status was active and and account was found using the new email address.

In addition, I find that the 'Overview,Getting Started, etc', options at the top of the RS web page have no effect.

I am using Firefox in xubuntu.
 
Well, considering I normally get a very quick response from the crew here, this must be a very difficult problem. Is it really?

I did have a working RS at one time so something I have done or not done has caused the problem.

EDIT: I have uninstalled RS from one of the boxes,rebooted, reinstalled, registered the email address,accepted the terms, again shows as active but no email and no web page access.
