I recently bought a fully working HDR Fox T2 with 500GB HDD as an upgrade to my existing HD Fox T2 with external 2TB HDD connected, the main motivation being multi channel recording. The 2TB HDD is more than half full with movies which I want to be able to access on the new box. I'm currently decrypting all the recordings on this drive offline, using stripts on linux but I'm not sure whether to install CF and possibly change the disk format from ext3 to a windows compatible disc format. In future I plan to transfer movies to the external HDD after recording and use the internal drive as temporary storage for unwatched TV. Any thoughts on best approach?
