It should take a couple of minutes, tops. Close the browser window and open a new one. If you are still instructed to click on the banner to download the full web interface, do it: it may then install some extra components. Eventually it should tell you that the process is complete.

It should be fine. Close the browser, open a new window and type in the IP address of the unit. Do you get the Web-If screen or are you redirected to the install page?

Have you tried rebooting your Humax, and trying the webif installation again?

rebooted and its installing again. Same point as last time where it sat for ages. Guess I will just leave it till its done........even if its a hour or so?

but keeps asking to dload and install when I put my IP in?

I'm having the same problem when reloading after successfully installing a new hard drive. I'm getting this response after numerous attempts in the previous 36 hours with multiple reboots:

It appears to get a connection then drops it. Any clues as to a solution? Could there be a problem with the hpkg server?

This just happened to me. I was using Chrome.
I powered off the hummy and put the usb stick back in and re did the firmware, then opened my hummy ip again in Internet explorer and it installed no problems. It does not like Chrome for sure.
If you dont re-install the firmware you just keep getting the error message no matter which browser you use.
Thanks rodders :)
