Wifi dongle works only in front USB port

My HDR Fox T2 has customised firmware 3.13 and until recently was connecting to wifi via a generic Ralink RT3070 wifi dongle in the rear USB port. It has suddenly stopped working even though the LEDs are flickering away as normal. It works fine in the front USB port. Any ideas?

Mystery solved - I have a Unifi wifi access point just behind the TV and was thinking that the dongle was connecting to that. In fact it was connecting to the wifi signal from my router at the other end of the house which has the same SSID as the access point. When it was plugged it to the back of the Humax it was out of the way of the weak wifi signal from the router. Now I just have to find out why it's not connecting to the Unifi....
