will freesat & free view work together?

Once again hot weather is here and causing our free view signal to collapse every evening.

If I get a Hummy 1010S and a dish I will be able to receive satellite signals which should cure the problem.

I see no reason to bin my 9200 free view box though. Will they both continue to function with my Panasonic free view TV ?

If this is the case I should be able to record on both at the same time while watching through the TV. Not that there are ever 5 programmes all worth watching on at the same time. Am I correct?

If the 9200 is currently working with your Panasonic TV, what makes you think they will stop working with each other when you add a satellite receiver?

Sorry - I thought it was just me that asked silly questions. I have no thoughts or specialised knowledge either way. That's why I'm here asking the question.

If someone could let me know……..

Presumably the 9200 and the new 1010S will just connect to different SCART / HDMI inputs on your TV and then you will select between the two inputs or the TV's own tuner

That's a"yes" then is it. Great stuff, not knowing anything about this kind of thing I wanted to make sure before buying dish/box etc.

Cheers

I have a freesat box, a freesat TV and Youview box here with no problems. Until today I also had another freeview box. All you need is an HDMI switcher box, a TV with enough inputs or an AV amp to feed the correct signal to your TV.

I forgot to mention that although Youview is locked to IR configuration 1, freesat/freetime boxes can be moved to configurations 2--6 to avoid remote conflicts.
