I have installed the ST2000MV003 and have formatted it using the automatic menu item that appeared. I put my old drive in a caddy and connected it via the front USB port. Elsewhere I have read that I should be able to select this now external usb drive and see my old recordings as they were...

Thank you. I'll minimise usage. By the way, is there anywhere a guide to fixdisk options, as in extra command line switches that can be used? In researching my problem I came across a few places where there were "do fix-disk (as it was then) -P or other letters. Thanks again.
