    Recorder (FVP-5000T) switches itself on.

My 9 month old 5000T starting repeatedly switching itself on this morning. Not related to other controllers or remote access. Solution was the classic switch it off and on again. :) I disconnected the power for a couple of minutes before switching back on.

    Copying programmes

Just exploring possibilities. Yes, I have two boxes and I can view them over the network. It might sometimes be useful to move programmes between machines but that hits the encryption problems. Whats the 4GB file size limit bug and roughly how long a programme would take it over the limit? I...

    Copying programmes

Is it possible to copy via the network (e.g. one FOX to another)? If not, does the CF have this feature? If not directly, could it be done via FTP? Is there any method to copy HD programmes without them being scrambled or does that require the CF?

    HD viewing on SD set

As an experiment, I recorded something in HD recently and played it back on an SD set. It appeared to work. My question is, would that work for all HD programmes? The TV will be replaced at some point so I'm wondering whether to record in HD now. I don't want to end up with a programme that...

Padding causing start of next program to be missing

I understand that. It seems silly to me that, as you already have the data in the buffer, it isn't saved onto the end of one recording and the start of the next as well. Thanks for the replies.

Padding causing start of next program to be missing

I've noticed that if you have padding set, and record two consecutive programs, it can put the start of program 2 at the end of program 1. Surely, it would have been more sensible to record the padding buffer onto both recordings? Does the alternative firmware behave any differently?

Viewing order of previously recorded programs

Top of page 40 of the manual 'To play multiple files successively, select the files using the Red button and press OK. It does play them all but not in the order they were recorded.

Viewing order of previously recorded programs

Hi, Recently purchased the HDR-FOX T2 so I'm just experimenting at the moment. I have a series link set on a program. When you go to view the programs you can select several to view with the red button. If I select two programs from the same series it tries to play them out of order (ie...
