    HDR just started randomly rebooting

Well done ,Humax came good after all! Worth knowing if we have a similar problem.

    New software available

Yes after trying 4 times with two different USB sticks ,I switched on my internet connection, did a search for new software ,and it downloaded with no problem. That was this afternoon.

    New software available

My grumble about a low reading on the signal strength meter seems to have been addressed,or perhaps it just coincidence but signal strength now showing 75% ad opposed to 39%.Now matches my other Humax boxes.

Two FOXSAT HDR but incompatible recordings

A couple of weeks ago I came across a Foxsat HDR for £15 in a house clearance place. Knocked them down to £13 and made a purchase not expecting much. Though if nothing else it would be a spare remote. In fact getting it home and connecting to the TV the recorded video on it was awful. Cleaned...

    Newb. What do I do?

I find I have to go in and out of the portal via the menu, before the 2000 sees the network,ie computer or Fox HDR(via media button). Unlike the Fox which see,s the network straight away via the media button.Don,t know if this helps?

Any one else disappointed with the picture?

Yes quality is 100%,so i guess there is no problem there. You just think being from the same Humax family as the Fox T2 HDR that I have in the other room, the signal strength would be similar. Anyway thanks for reply I shall worry no more.

Any one else disappointed with the picture?

All I can say it we bought a HDR 2000T to go with our Panasonic 21 in in the back room (our secondary set up).At the time of buying the Panasonic I asked the salesman if the display TV was showing HD or not.He replied it wasn,t and at that screen size HD would not be noticeable. But since...

    Can't Access TV Portal

Yes the low signal strength reading seems to come up on many reviews, and I was hoping it was just a problem of calibration. We bought a 2000 for our back room, and it works fine ,but shows a signal strength reading of 30%,compared to 50% from Fox HDR in the front room. All my TVs and Humax boxes...

    TV Guide & Schedule

I think you will find the HDR-FOX T2 a lot slicker, against the foxsat.I have both running alongside each other ,and the fox t2 is my preferred choice every time for everyday use. I use the foxsat to archive concerts I want to keep. The guide and schedule is similar but much better to use.

FOXSAT HDR AND HDR-FOX T2 SHARED EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE?

Following advice given I experimented with my computer back up 500gb external hard drive, trying it with both boxes. It worked well with both and as quite rightly advised archived HD recordings will only play back on the box that made it. I formatted it with the Fox T2 HDR without problem ,not...

FOXSAT HDR AND HDR-FOX T2 SHARED EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE?

Yes thank you for your replies .I think I will start with an external hard disk to back up the Foxsat, and take it slowly from there. Thanks from one dull old thing!

FOXSAT HDR AND HDR-FOX T2 SHARED EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE?

I have a Foxsat HDR but with only a 320gb hard disk was always filling up quickly. So I have just bought a Freeview Fox t2 HDR 1TB to give me more capacity. They work in one room alongside each other, something I found useful when ITV failed on satellite the other day My question is I would like...

Using more than 1 Humax box in the same room

Yes I was lucky enough to see this before adding a Freeeview Foxt2 HDR to my Foxsat HDR system,so knew they would both work in the same room.Put Freeview remote to posistion 2 and yes worked first time. Many thanks
