    Recover Deleted Files?

As I say, I am happy to move on. and not cry over spilt electrons. But I thank you for the offer. The ones that I regret losing most are several of the 'Discovering XXX' series, but I would be hard-pressed to list them from memory, I had edited the list as it grew, to be watched at a later...

    Recover Deleted Files?

Yes it is, and as I clearly cannot recover the lost files, at least without possibly doing some major work, I am now moving on. At least the question of which programme to watch has been considerably simplified. A Happy Christmas to All.

    Recover Deleted Files?

My thinking is that I probably accidentally selected 'All' for deletion, and the 'Deleted' folder did not accept the large volume of files sent to it. Whatever, I performed a 'fixdisk' procedure, which reported no problems, and also did not restore anything, so I will now move on, and close...

    Recover Deleted Files?

It is certainly possible that it was a case of bad fingering, although not for sure. I had been doing some HDD housekeeping, and I might have deleted the wrong set of files. I will run fixdisk, but if that does not do anything, then I will just move on. Thanks for the reply.

    Recover Deleted Files?

I don't know if it was me, or the Humax, but when I went to it yesterday, all programme folders had disappeared, except 'Deleted'. All the single programmes, ie not in series or otherwise put into folders, were still there. Whatever the cause, can I recover the lost programmes? They are not in...

F1 qualifying only recorded the first 35 minutes

And when I watched it on All4, the ad. breaks were there, but only one or two ads. long, as though somebody was trying to make up for the inconvenience. The actual Race recorded ok, but I watched most of it 'live'. What a fiasco on behalf of the Race Stewards!

Yep, recording failed due to Tracking failure.

    Connection to internet failure, not.

Sorry. As I read it, there were two options to the test result, either 'ping' worked, in which case I would have seen a string of ping times, or it wouldn't work, in which case I would not see the stream of times. They weren't there, so I reported that the test had failed. If I had seen a fault...

It was already 192.168.1.254 when I started this, (see note 2 above), but that clearly wasn't the answer. Moving on .....

    Connection to internet failure, not.

    1. I have a cable from the Fritz!Box router to an unmanaged switch, which splits to: This particular Humax, Humax 1; another Humax, Humax 2 (not a Fox type, and no CF); a desktop PC which runs my Zoneminder and also acts as data backup every night. These are all hardwired. 2. I have been trying...

Because I am unsure where to go to sort this out. Not everybody has as much knwoledge as you, which is why we ask for help. I was asked to try a test, I did, it failed, and I reported that. I am sorry we can't all see exactly what you want to know, or we wouldn't be asking for help.

    Connection to internet failure, not.

Briefly, due to looking after wife who has just come home from hospital, this test failed. I'll report later. DNS settings look good, btw.

Thanks, I'll b back with some test results. Not sure what you mean by 'reminder schedule', though. More later.

I was following a thread on the boot-settings anomaly, wherein the T2 always boots up in BBC ?Red Button mode, despite being told to use BBC 1. I did not have the old package installed, but I followed the advice to remove the current boot-settings and disable ota packeges, and reload them. Bu...
