Hi Guys,
Looks like we are all getting the same results using the Fox T2 as a Music server
my clients : Pioneer XC-HMC81 & XBMC both see the files in the same wrong order and not even the order in which the files were placed on the FOX T2 Server !!
I've taken to using Media TOMB on my Foxsat...

Hi All,
It's good to see a debate happening on this for clarity I will add the following
1) I am trying to use the native FOX T2 HDR service
2) I have tried XBMC and get the same file order as I'm seeing on my Pioneer
3) I tried going down the Video file route under XBMC and went into the Music...
Anyone using their HDR FOX T2 as Music server ?
I've got a Physical music client (Pioneer HM81) and I have a laptop with the client XBMC
and if I look down the music path the files appear but they are in some kind of random order !!
However, if I use the XBMC video client to go to the FOX T2...
Tested Mediatomb found that XBMC will play on PC and Humax FOX T2 HDR makes a good client too .
But Obviously Mediatomb will only serve SD.
Both XBMC for PC and FOX T2 Play very well.
Will update findings on Twonky when I get a 30 Day trial.
Have installed Twonky 5.6.1 and found the 30 day trial does not work so have contacted Twonky to see if they can help.
Would also like to know if version 6 or 7 has been packaged for Foxsat ?
Custom Firmware contains Media Tomb or Twonky Media Servers so choice of two !!
But question is which one is best ? ie best support on Smart TV's or media client boxes such as WD TV Live or HMP7001.
Not seen many posts on this subject despite all the work that Raydon and team have put into...
Great response - Thankyou . I have checked the timer on and timer off and both settings are off.
Trying to work out how I get the box into standby rather than "half awake" Reading your response has got me wondering if it's because something is switched on like
the FTP facility. I'll test it and...
Thought I had read that someone had found their portable drive powered down ie the Humax box removes power from USB when in standby. my test reveals my Toshiba drive just keeps running.
Cannot see any settings in Humax box to help this situation , anyone got experience in this ?
Cheers
Anyone know what the top of the case is made of ? Is it all plastic or plastic coated metal ?
All my other Hummies have been metal cases - had a quick look in the shop the other day and could swear it's a piano black plastic case ?
Whats your case made of ?
