Split Recordings (e.g. News bulletin between film on ch5)

I reiterate my most resent post. It would seem that the "gurus" are, indeed, of the "ivory tower" variety.

Please be more explicit. My units can drift forever without auto sync, which means I cold start every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday just for a fighting chance of maintaining some semblance of real time.

You people amaze me!! The fact that the unit does not keep time with DVB data stream and that you are prepared to accept this as a minor problem is, frankly, gob smacking. I admit that nothing in life is perfect, but this is a major fault, and both of you so called gurus are prepared to pass...

Typical answer from you. The vast majority of users want benign usability without having to resort to unwanted "messing about". You present yourself as a tech guru (having read many of your posts on this forum), but I don't think you live in the real world.

BH. I have no interest in anything other what's in the box as purchased. Why should I? I expect max performance without having to resort to custom firmware. Compromised initial design is always a problem, but should be rectified by updates, not custom firmware.

Having 3 HDR-Fox T2 Recorders exhibiting the same ridiculous time keeping problems i.e gaining approx 10sec per day, and to turn off/on to sync with with DVB data stream to set correct time, strikes me as bizarre. These m/cs are the epitome of the classic "curates egg", good in parts but rubbish...

Split Recordings (e.g. News bulletin between film on ch5)

Not a good answer BH. The recording is already split, so have to delete 2nd part. Manual, as suggested, is the same as editing as I described above. Editing a schedule is no problem regarding end padding, however, if one adds padding to the front, the program title reverts to that which includes...

Split Recordings (e.g. News bulletin between film on ch5)

I would rather record all of film as a single entity including the bulletin but can't find a way of doing this other than deleting the second part of film and then editing the first part end time. Can anybody out there suggest a more elegant method of knitting the film parts together. Regards...

    On board Clock

Hi BH, It bothers me because I don't expect behaviour like this in current electronics equipment, bearing in mind that my pioneer gear is accurate to the second. I have just this very minute turned off and on the power switch on the rear of one of the m/c's and it now shows correct time! By...

Hi All. Last gasp help before both Fox t2 PVR's returned for full refund. I might ramble a bit, but please stay with me. I understand the causes of lack of EPG update, (Black Hole et al) and that the system clock is dependant on the displayed EPG clock. My problem is, that although the EPG...
