USB drive format - NTFS or FAT32?

I last tried it on Win7, but am now using Win10 so will give that a try (and hope it doesn't corrupt anything). Ext3 would make it too small if it's just 2Gb that it leaves you with.

Black Hole - ta for the pointers to the section of the 'Things Every...' page. I've had a read of those. I didn't realise about the forum for my unit. I found this one via Google :) Luke and Trev - thanks for the info about content providers. It's annoying that I can FTP programmes from a...

USB drive format - NTFS or FAT32?

While FAT32 works fine, the size of the files is limited. I have an 8Gb drive and it allows me to transfer programmes from the unit (whether SD or HD, the latter after being Foxy'd) However, I have an NTFS-formatted USB drive (64Gb) and while I can transfer recordings to it, they just won't...

Foxy - An HD recording backup utility for the HDR-Fox T2 now released !

I've sussed out the problem - I was copying the files across on a USB stick which was formatted with NTFS (it's a 64Gb drive which somehow ends up hating it when I try to format it to FAT32), whereas using a FAT32-formatted USB stick (which is only 8Gb) transfers them fine, so it's fantastic...

Just tried Splash Player Lite and it didn't like these files either, so there's clearly something I'm doing wrong when getting the file off the Humax 2000t, even though I've done it with a USB stick.

With the ftp method described in the next part of the sentence. Yep, I can play ts files on the PC. However, how do I force "the DLNA indexer to re-index the recording"? Maybe that's the bit I missed. Thanks.

Well, I mean I made it think it wasn't encrypted, so the 'Enc' is gone in the menu, and I ftp'd the .hmt file, Foxy'd it, and then ftp'd it back. I subsequently copied the .ts onto USB but it doesn't play.

I tried both FTP and via USB. In both cases, there's no 'length' showing in Windows Explorer (I also tried playing both from the USB stick and on the PC), and nothing will play it - not VLC, Kodi, nothing. :(

Is there something for the Humax 2000t, please? I tried Foxy, and it removes the encryption, but then when I copy the .ts file to the PC after that, no length shows up on it, and it's unplayable in VLC, Kodi, anything. Please help.
